We affectionately refer to our place as Frog Hollow for the many evenings that we are serenaded by these wonderful creatures. We have been working in glass for over 20 years. We started our adventure with glass by designing and fabricating stained glass windows for a few builders. After taking a kiln-forming class, we began incorporating fused glass into our window designs. We have since moved on to other works and only create window designs if we are commissioned to do so. We briefly studied off hand glass blowing at CSUSB and went on to enhance our skills with torch working, lampworking and flame working creating sculptures, perfume bottles and the "Fierce Martini" line. We work with different types of glass, from hard glass called Borosilicate, used in our sculptures, ornaments or beads and shaped using the flame of a torch, to soft glass and dichroic glass used in some of our kiln formed creations. We make our own pattern glass from glass that we stack, fuse and cut repeatedly, designing intricate patterns we will use in numerous works. The techniques we use vary from piece to piece. We love color, whether it is opaque, transparent, or glittering dichroic and have found ways to enhance colors by adding, melting, blending and stacking colors together. We are constantly evolving our creations into unique, detailed, colorful and exciting glass art. We are delighted when our customers enjoy our masterworks in their homes and offices and add to their collections. |
