All Sue Rioux Kaleidoscopes are hand-crafted and feature beautiful stained glass bodies. Many of Sue's designs have oil filled chambers for a stunning, slowly changing image. The views are also very bright due to the expert designs allowing in maximum light.
A beautiful 2 mirror kaleidoscope with the body made of iridized glass the colors of beach sand. It's adorned with starfish made of copper wire along with a sea shell and clear glass rods. The large object barrel is hand soldered and filled with sea shells, dichroic glass and glass beads. Inside, there's a beach scene with starfish reflecting off the dual mirrors. Signed Sue Rioux 2016.
Measures 9¼" long x 3¼" w. x 4¾" h.
A stunning 2-mirror kaleidoscope with iridescent glass reflecting the third side. The iridescent body is adorned with a dichroic piece at the top front. The large object barrel is hand soldered and filled with spring colored glass beads and glass pieces. Signed Sue Rioux 2015 and numbered.

A 2 mirror kaleidoscope with the body made of iridized turquoise glass adorned with a small sea shell and aqua blue rods. The intricate copper and stained glass object chamber incorporates iridescent glass, sea shells and dichroic beads. Signed Sue Rioux 2016.

A dual view, 2 & 3 mirror, kaleidoscope with the body made of raised dot black glass adorned with a strip of rainbow iridized glass and clear cased black rods. The long glass object chamber is divided in the middle - the 2 mirror side is mostly magentas, reds and blues while the 3 mirror side is mainly black and white. Both sides also feature dichroic glass shards. Signed Sue Rioux 2016.

Sue Rioux has been pursuing artistic endeavors from a very young age. She has been designing and making kaleidoscopes and jewelry from glass for about 20 years.
Sue lives and works in Kennebunk, Maine with her son Alex and their two cats. Her home and studio overlooks the Kennebunk River. Sue has the pleasure to work with several other talented women who assist her in her creative process. Sarah Smith works part-time with Sue making the kaleidoscopes. Sue's sister Pam helps out with the bookkeeping and shipping end of the business.
