All Sue Rioux Kaleidoscopes are hand-crafted and feature beautiful stained glass bodies. Many of Sue's designs have oil filled chambers for a stunning, slowly changing image. The views are also very bright due to the expert designs allowing in maximum light.

Everglades
A dual view, 2 & 3 mirror, kaleidoscope with a body of antique style green glass adorned with a green/cyan dichroic bead and lime green rods. The wide liquid filled glass object chamber contains green, cyan, blue and dichroic pieces and is shared by both views. Signed Sue Rioux 2017.

Acadia
A dual view, 2 & 3 mirror, kaleidoscope with a body of sky blue glass adorned with a sea shell and aqua rods. The wide liquid filled glass object chamber contains aqua and dichroic pieces, sea shells and a red lobster. The chamber is shared by both views. Signed Sue Rioux 2017.

Orbit
A gorgeous parlor style kaleidoscope with 2 viewing ports providing both 2 and 3 mirror configurations. The fluid filled object chamber contains red, magenta, blue, aqua and dichroic glass pieces. The body is unusual with it's slumped, curved iridescent rippled top and smooth black bottom glass and is highlighted with blue rods along the edges. Signed Sue Rioux 2015.

Sue Rioux: La Playa kaleidoscope

La Playa
A beautiful 2 mirror kaleidoscope with the body made of iridized glass the colors of beach sand. It's adorned with starfish made of copper wire along with a sea shell and clear glass rods. The large object barrel is hand soldered and filled with sea shells, dichroic glass and glass beads. Inside, there's a beach scene with starfish reflecting off the dual mirrors. Signed Sue Rioux 2016.

Measures 9¼" long x 3¼" w. x 4¾" h.

Kaleidoscope artist Sue RiouxSue Rioux has been pursuing artistic endeavors from a very young age. She has been designing and making kaleidoscopes and jewelry from glass for about 20 years.

Sue lives and works in Kennebunk, Maine with her son Alex and their two cats. Her home and studio overlooks the Kennebunk River. Sue has the pleasure to work with several other talented women who assist her in her creative process. Sarah Smith works part-time with Sue making the kaleidoscopes. Sue's sister Pam helps out with the bookkeeping and shipping end of the business.
